Privacy policy.

This page explains which data is processed when you visit this website and when you use the Dokava app.

Part A: Website dokava.app

Hosting

The website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, time, requested page, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and fast service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR) and, in addition, on the standard contractual clauses in Cloudflare’s data processing agreement (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

No cookies, no tracking

We use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Fonts, images and videos are hosted by us and are not loaded from third-party servers. The site remembers your language choice only in your browser.

The “Download on the App Store” button leads to Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies there.

Contact

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed for that purpose.

Part B: The Dokava app

Last updated: 7 November 2026

1. Controller

Sichtbarkeitshaus Owner: Osman Baripoglu Grieperstr. 11, 45143 Essen, Germany Phone: +49 201 89091960 Email: kontakt@sichtbarkeitshaus.de

This policy applies to the Dokava app for iPhone, iPad and Android. For visits to the website dokava.app, Part A above applies.

2. In short

Dokava stores all reports, contracts, documents, photos, signatures and office details only on your device. There is no user account, no advertising, no tracking and no usage analytics. We do not receive any data you enter in the app.

3. Data the app stores on your device

  • Details of objects and parties: address of a property, vehicle details (make, registration number, vehicle identification number), names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of the parties
  • In contracts, depending on the template: date of birth, driving licence or ID number, bank details (IBAN), amounts, periods and agreements
  • Condition of rooms, vehicles and items, descriptions of defects and damage, photos, meter and mileage readings, keys and accessories, content of custom documents
  • Signatures of all parties with date and time
  • Your office details: company, contact person, address, phone, email and logo
  • A counter of how many documents you have created and how many you have bought individually, so that the free first document and purchased documents are counted correctly

The data is kept in the app’s protected storage area on your device. If you use device backups (iCloud Backup on Apple devices, device backup on Android), this data may be included in your backup depending on your settings. You control these backups, and Apple or Google is responsible for them.

The legal basis for processing on your device is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as it concerns providing the app’s features.

4. Data about other people

If you enter data about other people in Dokava, such as tenants, buyers or other contracting parties, you are the controller for that data within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR. The usual legal basis is performing and documenting the respective contract (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). If you record ID or driving licence numbers, limit yourself to what is necessary. Please inform the people concerned in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR. We have no access to this data.

5. Camera and photos

The app only accesses the camera or photo library if you allow it and take or select a photo. Photos are resized and stored in the app’s storage area and are not uploaded. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings.

6. Sharing the PDF and sending it by email

Only when you tap “Send by email” or “Share or save PDF” does the app pass the PDF to the app you choose, such as Mail, a messaging app or Files. From then on, that provider’s privacy policy applies. We do not receive a copy.

7. AI assistant

The current version of the app does not include an AI assistant and sends no text to any server. If the assistant is added later, we will update this section before it is switched on.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

You buy single reports and the Dokava Pro subscription through Apple’s App Store (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland) or Google Play (Google Ireland Limited). We do not receive any payment details.

The app asks the store whether a subscription is active. The store then passes purchase information to the app, such as the product, purchase date and transaction number. This information is only evaluated on your device. As the provider, we receive aggregated sales and subscription reports from Apple and Google, without names and without payment details. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

If you have agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple or Google also provides us with aggregated statistics, for example on downloads and crashes. These do not identify you.

Store privacy notices: apple.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy

Some buttons open pages in your browser, such as Apple’s terms of use, your subscription settings or this policy. The privacy policy of the respective page applies there.

10. Storage period and deletion

The data stays on your device until you delete a report or remove the app. Deleting a report also deletes its photos. Removing the app deletes all of the app’s data, including purchased single reports that have not been used yet. A subscription can be reactivated with “Restore subscription”. As there is no user account, there is no account to delete.

11. No disclosure

We do not pass any data to third parties. Apple and Google process purchase data under their own responsibility.

12. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). As we do not receive any of your data through the app, you can view and delete your data directly in the app. If you have any questions, please write to kontakt@sichtbarkeitshaus.de.

13. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.

14. Changes

If the app changes, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
